Werner recalls two ladders sold nationwide for fall hazard

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Werner is recalling a pair of its ladders.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, two models of the Werner Multi-Max Pro series have faulty locking mechanisms that pose a fall hazard.

The ladders in question were sold in silver with a blue top and a blue label on the side rail in both the 20′ and 24′ varieties. The label reads “Werner” next to the words “MULTI MAX PRO,” along with the size and model number (see below). Each contains a long black rope in the back section.

There have been 18 incident reports, including 14 resulting in mild to moderate injuries and fractures to the wrist, leg, and ribs.

Over 120,000 ladders were sold in-store and online at Home Depot from November 2021 through February 2024.

Consumers should cease use of the ladders and contact Werner for a full refund. Click here for details on how to dispose of the ladder.
