OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – An annual toy drive is a success in Tioga County.

On December 8, eight bins full of gifts donated by county employees and community members were collected for the Toys for Tots Campaign.

The Tioga County Veterans’ Service Agency has been assisting the Owego Marine Corps League and U.S. Marine Reserves with their efforts since early November. Each bin contained approximately $600 worth of toys, for an estimated value of $4,800.

Every donated gift will go directly to families in need within Tioga County. In 2024, the Toys for Tots Campaign provided gifts to roughly 2,600 local children.
