Prescription Drug Takeback event Saturday in Owego

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – You can safely dispose of unwanted medications tomorrow in Tioga County.

On October 25, as part of the DEA’s National Takeback campaign, you can get rid of all solid forms of prescription drugs, including tablets, capsules, and patches.

Sharps, which include syringes, needles, and lancets, will also be accepted in sealed containers. The event is drive-thru, and you are asked to stay in your car.

It takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Tioga County Health & Human Services Building, located at 1062 State Route 38 in Owego.
