NICHOLS, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tioga County man awaits his next day in court.

On August 2, deputies arrested Timothy Cole, of Nichols, for failure to appear in court on charges of felony grand larceny and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

The 44-year-old was initially arrested in December 2024 following a three-week investigation. Cole is accused of stealing a bulldozer from a construction company last November. He allegedly drove the machine away from the scene of the crime and caused significant damage in Kirby Park and several roadways.

The bulldozer was recovered less than two miles from where it was taken.

Kirby is scheduled to appear in Nichols Town Court at a later date.
