ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Concert Band will perform Christmas and Hannukah music this weekend.

The group will hit the stage on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ithaca College’s Ford Hall. Songs such as “Jingle Bells” and “Joy to the World” will be performed.

Conductor Art Carichner said playing “Dreidel Dance” won’t be easy.

“The woodwind parts are very challenging,” he said. “It’s very difficult rhythmically.”

It won’t be the first challenge the band has faced. Carichner said some members have been part of the group for over 50 years.

“The dedication is unbelievable,” he said.
