Cornell president calls Brown University shooting ‘unspeakable’

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Resources are available for students at Cornell University concerned about a fatal shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island.

“This unspeakable violence struck a university community during final exams as students, faculty, and staff prepare for the end of a semester and to spend time with loved ones. Our hearts go out to everyone at Brown,” President Michael Kotlikoff said.

“To our Cornell students: It is human to experience stress at the end of a semester, and now you may be worried for friends at Brown. Please do not hesitate to seek out university resources. No one is alone,” Kotlikoff said.

According to CBS News, 2 people were killed and 9 wounded after the campus shooting at Brown on Sat., Dev. 13.
