Authorities investigating after Lafayette man throws severed deer head at anti-ICE protestors

LAFAYETTE, NY (607NewsNow) – An incident at a protest in Onondaga County is under investigation.

The Syracuse Post-Standard reports a man in a pickup truck threw a severed deer head at a group of anti-ICE protestors on January 10 in Lafayette.

A spokesperson from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says the truck drove past a group of people near routes 11 and 20 before circling back and throwing the head. It did not hit anyone.

Deputies and a State Trooper took statements from witnesses at the scene. The driver has been identified as a business owner in Lafayette. No arrest was made, and no charges have been filed at this time.
