CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — The case of a man accused in a fatal Cortland crash remains in a courtroom.

In February, a car with four people inside crashed into a utility pole on Homer Avenue. One person inside was killed. The driver, Ergardo Rosario, was charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter after tests revealed he was under the influence of drugs.

The Cortland Voice reports lawyers for both sides were in court on Tuesday, where they argued over the next steps in the case. Cortland County Judge David Alexander gave the defense and prosecution more time.

Rosario remains behind bars.
