State Police: ‘No serious injuries’ in Cortland County crash

LAPEER, N.Y. (WHCU) – No serious injuries have been reported after a crash in Cortland County.

State Police at Homer responded to the southbound lane of Interstate-81 in the Town of Lapeer around 4:15 a.m. on Thursday. A tractor-trailer left the roadway and tipped over, rupturing its fuel tank, and spilling around 60 gallons of fuel. The driver, a 56-year-old man from Brooklyn, was transported to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City with non-life-threatening injuries.
