CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Time is running out for small business owners in Cortland County to submit applications in the Microenterprise Assistance Program.

The county received $200,000 for the program, which will be split among the winning applicants. Awards of up to $35,000 can be handed out. Qualified small businesses have five or fewer employees, including part and full-time workers.

Applications must be submitted by Friday afternoon at the county’s website. A special meeting of the Cortland County Finance and Administration Committee is being held November 14 to review the applications.
