ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County leaders are meeting today to discuss internet access.

Five options are under consideration to expand broadband in unserved areas. A recent study shows over a thousand locations in the county are currently without internet. The Housing and Economic Development Committee meets at 3 PM to review.

Ithaca Common Council is also meeting today. Lawmakers will consider adopting a gender-affirming healthcare policy. It would prevent city personnel from penalizing people for providing or receiving care. The meeting starts at 6 PM.
