TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Albany County man is facing a felony in Trumansburg.

Trumansburg Police and Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Maguire Chevrolet at 2073 Trumansburg Road just after 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, for a reported stolen vehicle. Authorities say 41-year-old Zachary Quick, of Feura Bush, parked his truck at the dealership before posing as a customer who just had their car serviced. Quick approached an employee and claimed the Camaro that was being parked up front was his, and the service was paid for. Quick took the keys and left in the car, leaving his personal vehicle behind.

Quick made it as far as Main Street in the Village of Trumansburg before he was stopped. He was held in custody while authorities conducted the investigation. Quick was charged with a felony of criminal possession of stolen property and several misdemeanors including drug possession, DWI drugs, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Quick was also charged with a violation for possessing more than the legally allowed amount of cannabis.
