Call it a Transplant… The Vine has moved!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, August 9, 2013

(Ithaca, NY) – Reset your preset.  98.7 The Vine WYXL HD-3 will be making a frequency change.

Starting Monday, August 12, 98.7 The Vine will become 96.7 The Vine.  The station will continue to be broadcast at 97.3 HD-3.

“We’re finally able to give the people what they’ve been asking for – a better sounding Vine,” said Aaron Terkel, Brand Manager for The Vine.

The new frequency boasts a stronger, denser signal, making for better building penetration, improved over-the-air audio, and an increased coverage area. “It’s exciting to bring higher quality audio to a music lover’s station – a true audiophile format,” said Terkel. “John Prine’s vocal nuances and Kings of Leon guitar solos will pop out of the speakers.”

“This station is truly unique to Ithaca. The improved signal will only increase our audience,” said Chet Osadchey, GM/VP Cayuga Radio Group.

The Vine is a Triple A format radio station, one of seven stations operated by Cayuga Radio Group in Ithaca. The Vine takes the air at 96.7 FM in Ithaca, starting at 12:01a midnight on Monday, August 12, 2013.
