Chobani CEO brings message of entrepreneurship to Ithaca College

The CEO of Chobani spoke to students at Ithaca College Tuesday.

Hamdi Ulukaya discussed his experience building the yogurt company and becoming an entrepreneur.

He said upstate New York is the best place in America for entrepreneurs.

“The mindset of the American Dream is actually living in upstate New York,” Ulukaya said. “Once talent starts coming back…I think you will see that things are changing a lot faster.”

Originally from Turkey, Ulukaya bought a plant in Chenango County in 2005 that was being closed by Kraft Foods.

He told students never to underestimate your first five employees.
