Body found near Ithaca Walmart; no foul play suspected

Police have released more details on a body that was found in a creek near the Ithaca Walmart.

The body was discovered shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning in a creekbed off Elmira Road. The victim is a black male and was wearing a gray t-shirt, dark-colored jeans and flip flops.

The name of the man, about 20 years old, is not being released pending notification of family members.

Investigators say there doesn’t appear to be any foul play involved in the death.

An autopsy and toxicology exam is being conducted at a regional hospital.
